How to use these rankings

Rankings tell you what has happened. Pair them with the rest of Fantasy Assist to decide what will happen next.

  1. 1

Start with your position of need

Quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and tight end each have different replacement levels. A low-end RB who starts every week is usually more valuable than a mid-range WR on your bench.

  2. 2

Weigh points per game over total points

Total points reward players who have played more games. Points per game is a cleaner measure of how productive a player is when active, especially after injuries or bye weeks.

  3. 3

    Factor in remaining schedule

A player ranked slightly lower with an easy closing schedule can outscore a higher-ranked player who faces tough defenses down the stretch.

  4. 4

Trust the trend, not one game

A single blow-up week can move a player up the table. Look at snap share, targets, and carries over the last few weeks to see if the role is real.

Common questions

What scoring format do these rankings use?

The default sort is half-PPR fantasy points per game. You can also see total points and positional rank. PPR and standard scoring follow a similar order for most players, but pass-catching running backs and high-target receivers move up in full PPR.

How often are the rankings updated?

They refresh from live NFL stats several times per day. If a game is still in progress, the numbers reflect the most recently completed week.

Why isn't my player ranked higher?

Rankings are based on actual fantasy production so far this season. A player with a tough early schedule, an injury, or a bye week will be lower than his talent suggests. Use the trade analyzer or start/sit tool to judge him for the rest of the season.

Do the rankings include rookies?

Yes. Any player who has logged NFL stats appears in the table. Rookies without a professional game yet won't show until they have recorded stats.
